It would probably be good to read Naomi Klein in The Guardian today. Alas Paul Krugman, he turned into one of The Good Boys.

I looked to see if there was any difference between the reaction of the six figure explainers in America on Wednesday with the way it went at the dailies in UK upon Brexit. No difference. There were none who had just handed out the biggest back of the hand in my lifetime invited to the table of dispensed wisdoms.

    I’ll make a note.

I’ve had to limit my news reading. I’ve been too upset. I spent two hours today escaping into a humor book by Bennett Cerf . . . .

I will say this: I’m not surprised by the outcome of the election. Disappointed, but not surprised. I had a feeling of dread about it throughout, unfocused and unformed and not rational, but it was there; I never forget that Mencken was right.

    Thanks for the recommendations.
