Courting Disasters, Reprise 0

Susan Estrich looks at Trump’s legal flailures to challenge the election and concludes

Trump cannot sue his way back to the presidency. At some point, he will run out of lawyers willing to make fools of themselves, or worse, with no prospect of payment.

Follow the link for her reasoning.

Aside:

Trump has spent his entire life pretending to be a success, despite failure after failure. He cannot admit out loud, even to himself, that he has failed on the biggest stage under the brightest spotlight of them all.

At NJ.com, Luke Elliot explains Trump and the Trumpettes verify the unverifiable. A nugget:

To the cult of Trump, it does not matter that Trump lost the popular election and electoral votes. Since there is no objective truth in the cult, vetting is unnecessary. Make a claim, and then make up examples to support it. Cult Trump logic distorts the truth, but to many, the claims seem real because the people making them are powerful.

Elvia Dias is concerned. A snippet:

(Secretary of State Mike–ed.) Pompeo on Tuesday predicted “there will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration.”

That kind of defiance is nothing short of an overthrow of the will of the American people and is simply disgusting for Republicans to go along with it.

And, in related news, Georgia’s on my mind.
