Those Who Forget Ignore the Past . . . . 0

Past Sparky to Sparky: Hello, I'm from the past. I just time-traveled here from January 6, 2021. Sparky: Wow! But if you're me, why don't I remember doing this? Past Sparky: I dunno. Time travel is weird. Maybe one of us stepped on a butterfly or something. Best not to think about is. Sparky: Makes sense, What can I do for you? Past Sparky: I just finished watching Trump try to overthrow the government and I was curious how that worked out for him. Sparky: Uh, well. he might be president again next year. Past Sparky: What? How is that even a possibility? Surely he was convicted in the Seante after a quick impeachment and disqualified from ever holding office again. Sparky: Ah, yeah, no, in fact, McConnell just endorsed him for re-election. Past Sparky: Huh, well--I assume he faced federal charges for his attemp to subvert the election? Sparky: Yeah, eventually, but now that case is on hold pending a Supreme Court decision--most likelhy postponing the trial until after this election is over. Past Sparky: Okay, but with all that hanging over his head, it's going to be pretty hard for him to win the primaries, isn't it? Sparky: Actually, it's been super easy--barely an inconvenience. And he's polling slightly ahead of Biden in the general. Past Sparky: Well, this explains why you don't remember me. Clearly I've been accidentally traveled to a dystopian alternative time-line that we must avoid at all costs. Sparky: Sure, good luck with that. Past Sparky Two appears: Hey, guys. I'm from 2006. Is George W. Bush an international pariah by now?
