Unnatural Acts 3

The creators of the “Got Milk?” campaign are getting ready to make a big push to keep chocolate milk on kids’ minds and on school lunch menus, a plan that has some educators and obesity activists none too pleased.

The new ad campaign from the dairy industry emphasizes that sugary flavorings are ways to get kids to drink milk. Without them, some youngsters won’t drink regular milk and won’t get its nutrients, the ads say.

Left out of the discussion is that

  • No other species drinks beverage milk past infancy and
  • No other species drinks the milk of whole nother species.

We have an entire industry based on unnatural acts.

Well, we have several, but right now I’m talking about milk.

And if you mention cats, I’ll remind you that milk is not good for cats, no matter what your cat says.

I’ll go check the link when I’m done, but ANYONE who has raised cats can tell you: An adult cat is lactose intolerant. No matter what the cat believes. They love it, it hates them. But, I bet the carpet cleaning companies just love people who give their cats milk. Ot butter. Or cheese. 5 minutes or so later & there’s a mess that needs cleaned up.

My one cat loves butter.  I can’t leave the butter out without finding it sculpted with little scratchy tongue marks.

I think she has an iron stomach.

My purrball that just loves to get in my face, so I’ll start coughing (I think she knows I’m more sensitive to her in the allergies dept than the dog), dearly loves parmesan cheese & mustard. You can’t leave an open squirt bottle of mustard where she can get it. She will lick it clean. Or on bread. I’ve watched the goofy creature. If parmesan cheese is left out, that top will be cleaned as well.

Or the flavoring on Nacho Cheese Doritoes. She likes that too. But, she won’t eat meat. She’s strange.

None of those make her urp. It’s just milk that does it.
