Meta: New OTR Link 2
I’ve added a new link to the Old Time Radio portion of the sidebar. Check it out.
This website does not track you.
It contains no private information. It does not drop persistent cookies, does not collect data other than incoming ip addresses and page views (the internet is a public place), and certainly does not collect and sell your information to others.
Some sites that I link to may try to track you, but that's between you and them, not you and me.
I do collect statistics, but I use a simple stand-alone Wordpress plugin, not third-party services such as Google Analitics over which I have no control.
Finally, this is website is a hobby. It's a hobby in which I am deeply invested, about which I care deeply, and which has enabled me to learn a lot about computers and computing, but it is still ultimately an avocation, not a vocation; it is certainly not a money-making enterprise (unless you click the "Donate" button--go ahead, you can be the first!).
I appreciate your visiting this site, and I desire not to violate your trust.

Found my way over her from your comment on Booman Tribune. Had to thank you for this OTR link. I had no idea the OTR website existed. As a lover of old radio, I was really disappointed when our local NPR station changed hands a couple of years ago and they dropped these old shows from their programming schedule in lieu of carrying national feeds. I thought I would never get to hear some of these again. This is an absolute gold mine for me! Thank you!

I’m old enough to remember morning soaps and talk shows (Arthur Godfrey, Garry Moore) on radio, but the evening programming was starting to fade out when I was young.
If you haven’t done so, check out the Old Time Radio Theatre site. If you contribute and get access to the members’ area, you will find a ton of excellent British shows. I am in no way affiliated, but I enjoy the site so much that I’ve made two small contributions.
OTR Network has one of the best selections of American shows, but it’s all Real audio format, which is problematic in my Linux world, as Real no longer updates their Linux version. Edit: You can still get older versions, but the package format is limited and the sources version may or may not compile on various flavors of Linux.
