Serendipity at $29.00 Plus Shipping 2

My cell phone battery was reaching end-of-life. Instead of holding a charge for more than two days, it was dying after a day and a half. (Hey, it happens.) Rather than order a new battery on line, I decided to swing by the local store.

They did not have a new battery in stock. They did, however, have an unused return waiting to be shipped back to the mothership.

The salesperson checked with the manager, then swapped out my battery at no charge.

I’ve been with this outfit for almost ten years. They have the best 800-number technical and customer support of any bunch I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve never had to wait more than a minute to get human beings and the human beings have always been able to answer the question or get the answer in a timely fashion. And when I say “never” and “always,” that’s what I mean.

YMMV.

(I guarantee that, if I have to call tech support, whatever it is I have broken is broken well beyond the capabilites of automated support. When geeks break electronics, they break ’em good.)

If I remember correctly, we have the same service company. If so, they do have really good customer service. The last dealings I had with them was the commercial billing dept & they got my request handled in less time than they said. In English, too.

My battery is acting up (not holding a charge as long) but I think my phone has been discontinued. It’s so old it isn’t a camera.

    You remember correctly.

They still might carry the battery.  Revenue is revenue.
