Politeness goes to the movies.

A 58-year-old white male who was a theater patron fired multiple shots, Edmonson said. The shooter was acting alone and is deceased, he said. There were about 100 people inside at the time.

Three dead, seven injured, as of when I write this, just because he could.

More etiquette at the link.

One wonders, did he hold his pinky out when he lovingly caressed the trigger?

Tragically accidental politeness is the politest kind.

A 17-year-old Cassville teen was shot to death Monday night when a gun held by a 19-year-old Cassville man accidentally discharged, officials said.

(snip)

Police said Winkers and several of his friends were shooting at targets at his house, using various types of weapons, including long guns and pistols.

. . . and, once more, a gun pulls its own trigger.

Yet one more case of accidental politeness:

Sheriff’s deputies found Jared Winkers dead while responding to a report of a shooting at a home in the Township of Cassville just after 9 p.m. Monday. They say he was killed by an accidental discharge from a weapon that Dillon Vogt, 19, was holding. The two were shooting targets at Winkers’ house with some friends when the incident took place.

Celebrate politely as you reach your last milestone.

Police say Perez was celebrating having turned 21 years old on Thursday when he grabbed a gun and began shooting. His family took the gun from him, but Perez later retrieved it and accidentally shot himself.

Yes, it did happen in Texas. Why do you ask?

Accidental politeness is the politest kind.

Derby Police Chief Robert Lee said a man was reaching for something in his pocket. A gun he had in the same pocket fell out and fired after striking the ground.

The bullet hit another man in the chest. He was taken to a Wichita hospital where he was treated and released.

No charges have been fired because, you know, stuff happens, and stupid is not a crime.

And, in more news of the polite . . . .

More polite play.

LeFlore County Undersheriff Kendall Morgan said authorities were dispatched to the area around noon Monday and spoke with family who said the (four-year-old–ed.) girl was sleeping inside the camper trailer, and apparently woke up and somehow managed to get hold of a pistol that was inside of her mother’s purse. She began playing with the weapon and evidently fired the weapon by accident, shooting herself in the abdomen.

More guns will no doubt ameliorate the incidence of such unfortunate misadventures.

Politeness takes practice.

A man was shot in the chest at Laguna Seca Shooting Sports Association earlier this afternoon.

(snip)

Rumors indicate the wounded man was a visiting individual who shot himself by accident and will survive.

Aside:

Practice makes perfect. Maybe he’ll get it right next time.

Accidental politeness:

A 10-year-old boy was accidentally shot Friday evening at a Lawrence home, police said.

Aside:

The old rule of thumb for news is to provide the “who, what, where, when, and how.” If you follow the link, you will see that this report fails that standard. It’s missing a “who” and a “how.” Nevertheless, it is full of NRA Paradise juice.

Play politely.

Aurora police said a group of children were playing in an Aurora home Thursday afternoon when a 7-year-old boy was shot in the head.Investigators weren’t immediately sure who fired the shot, but they think the shooting was an accident.

More guns means more politeness.

Exercise your right to politeness in the great outdoors.

Investigators believe Glenn Martin was shot by accident while camping in the Rainbow Falls Park area of the Pike National Forest on Friday, but they say they haven’t ruled anything out yet.

They’re asking anyone who was shooting a high-powered rifle in the area or anyone who noticed someone doing so to contact the sheriff’s office. Sgt. Ron Hanavan says shooting is not allowed in the area where Martin was struck.

Inter-generational politeness in NRA Paradise:

Yesterday afternoon, deputies say the child was put down for a nap in the master bedroom at his grandparent’s home on Puget Lane off Ella Boulevard in northwest Harris County. They say the child got a hold of an automatic pistol that was left on the night stand and shot himself in the head.

He is currently in critical condition. The story makes no mention of whether or not charges for negligent whatever that was will be filed.

Celebrate politely.

Authorities are trying to determine where a bullet came from that wounded a woman inside Kennywood Park Saturday night, but they believe it was fired outside the West Mifflin park.

(snip)

Police said the investigation is leading authorities to believe the shot was fired from outside the park, wounding the woman. “One possibility being investigated is that the shot was fired from a nearby area as part of a Fourth of July celebration,” the news release reads.

An armed society is a clean society.

A Puyallup man accidentally shot his girlfried in the abdomen Friday night while preparing to clean his gun, according to police.

The boyfriend, 21, told officers he was getting ready to clean his semi-automatic pistol when it went off at about 10 p.m., accidentally shooting his 22-year-old girlfriend.

One wonders for what reason the gun just decided to go off?

Just another day in NRA Paradise . . . .

His family was vacationing at Denali National Park and Preserve and he was said to have shot himself on Tuesday. It’s not yet known if it was accidental or not Park spokeswoman Kathleen Kelly said, as the park investigates the matter.

The family is steadfast in saying it was accidental, as the AP reports.

Hey! Accidents happen.

An accident with a firearm claimed the life of 4-year-old Summer Miller of St. Marie on the morning of June 27 around 10 a.m., according to Valley County Sheriff Glen Meier. The fatality was instantaneous.

Musical NoteThe story does not say what happened, only that it was just one of those things, just one of those crazy things that happens in NRA Paradise.
