A model (home) of politeness.

A Georgia sheriff is under investigation after he critically injured a woman in a shooting that he described as an accident, police in an Atlanta suburb said on Monday.

Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill shot Gwenevere McCord, 43, in the abdomen at a model show home in a subdivision in Gwinnett County on Sunday, according to police. Local media reported that McCord is a real estate agent who is friends with Hill.

Guess he didn’t like the asking price, but, according to TPM, he ain’t talking.

And, in more news of the polite . . . .

Politeness is a family affair.

Lt. Larry Rice with the Tarrant Police Department said the father of the young child was cleaning his gun when it went off, striking the boy around 6:45 p.m at their home on Bell Avenue.

If you are too stupid to unload a gun before cleaning, you are too stupid to handle a weapon–any weapon.

Politeness must be inculcated from a young age.

A Pocatello firefighter who lives in Chubbuck has been charged with misdemeanor injury to a child in the accidental shooting death of 5-year-old Noelle Aston Shawver, of Blackfoot, last July by another 5-year-old.

(snip)

The little girl was killed after being struck by a bullet discharged from a firearm held by another 5-year-old child on the afternoon of July 30, 2014, at Lish’s home. Adults in the home at the time were in another room.

Afterthought:

Just for grins and giggles, consider whether this would be a misdemeanor were the persons involved black in Baltimore.

Demonstrate politeness to your potential progeny.

A man accidentally shot himself in the testicles while walking down a street in Los Angeles Saturday, police said.

The 26-year-old was enjoying a stroll with his girlfriend on Beverly Boulevard and Robinson Street in Silver Lake at around 12:45 a.m. when he heard a pop, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said.

This is a new twist in ammosexuality. After all, he could have just gotten one of those vibrator thingees.

Politeness takes practice.

Residents in the Lehigh Valley say their lives are in danger by stray bullets flying into their neighborhood.

They say the bullets have hit their homes and landed in their backyards and believe they’re coming from a nearby gun club.

According to the story, this has been going on for several years. Law enforcement says he link to the gun club has not been conclusively established. It could be polite hunters “milling around” (to quote the story).

Then it starts to get weird.

Be polite at the late-night drinking party.

Police in Glens Falls say 56-year-old Carl Critelli was drinking with friends late at night this week when one of them started passing around his .32-caliber handgun.

The gun went off, sending a bullet tore through Critelli’s left hand and causing serious damage to two fingers. Critelli told The Post-Star of Glens Falls that he didn’t seek medical help because he doesn’t like doctors.

Instead, he put bandages on the wound and wrapped it with duct tape.

Afterthought:

If you can’t fix it with duct tape and a pair of vice grips, it can’t be fixed.
