We are a broken society.

More “responsible gun owners” feel compelled to discharge their portable phalluses on the road.

State police investigators believe the drivers of two vehicles fired shots at one another’s vehicles while driving on I-465. The driver of one of the vehicles later crashed as they exited the interstate, police said.

The 12-year-old boy, who was riding in the back seat of the SUV, had been shot in the hip. Police noticed what appeared to be several bullet holes in the rear driver’s side door of the SUV.

And, as we know, a polite society is a clean society.

The police chief said the children’s father was cleaning his pistol at the kitchen table when a round left in the chamber went off. The bullet struck his 4-year-old child in the upper left arm and then grazed the right arm of his 5-year-old child.

One more time, “responsible gun owner” is an oxymoron.
