Fool. Money. Parted. Soon. 3

Regular readers know that I make no apologies for my faith. It just is.

Faith is the evidence of things unseen, not the denial of things seen.

And, in the full light of that, I have to say that this is gross beyond words. Totally took the edge off my M*A*S*H rerun.

I had to laugh when I first saw it advertised. Then I wondered how they would sell. And to who.

I am sure there is no shortage of marks potential customers out there. One born every minute and all that.

But, dammit, honest to pete, gag me with a spoon, and all that, belief is of the heart. Not of the jewelry.

And, you know, people will buy it. And think that somehow they are demonstrating their belief.

Or maybe it gives them some comfort.

If my faith is so poor as to need comfort in a piece of glass–oh, never mind.

I have this bridge. How much greater must your faith be if you buy the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Hell, it’s four miles long! That stinking little piece of costume jewelry is what? two inches long?

    Four miles. Two inches.

    Whose faith is greater?

    Draw your own conclusion.

Plus, I need the money more than they do.

    Words fail me.

I really do not have enough words to express my contempt for this crap.

Or for those who fall for it.

Look, I’ve used all these words above, and my contempt is still not yet satisfied.

    I give up.

I was watching the M*A*S*H reruns @ 5, when that same commercial came on. It’s bad. Suckers will buy it.
