Politeness is a family value.

Police in Fort Dodge say the death of a 17-year-old boy was from an accidental shooting by a family member.

No foul play is suspected in the death of Daiqualis Poe . . . .

One more time, “negligent” and “accidental” are not synonyms.

The last time I visited Los Angeles (actually, Burbank) in the early aughts, also on a business trip, it was better. Looking from Burbank down into the LA basin, there was a hint of orange, but it was nothing like three decades earlier.

“An Armed Society Is a Polite Society” 0

The hunt for politeness continues.

Facing South dogs the dinaros. A snippet:

So far, 486 donors from Southern states have given as much as they legally can to the Trump campaign, including seven donors who have maxed out their giving to Trump Victory. Texas is home to the most at 209, followed by Florida with 152, Louisiana with 54, and Virginia with 24. Among them are people with deep ties to the oil and gas industry as well as a prominent leader in the private prison business — both industries that have benefited greatly from Trump administration policies.
