Don’t drive defensively. Drive politely.

Police in Genoa Township are investigating a Tuesday afternoon road rage incident which ended in a deadly shooting at East Grand River Avenue and Chilson Road, about one mile east of downtown Howell.

One person was killed and another is in police custody. Police say a 43-year-old driver got out of his vehicle and approached the driver of a pickup truck, who is accused of shooting and killing the 43-year-old man.

You are dangerously out to lunch if you think this (lipstick) is inappropriate for a nine year old girl, but this (bullet) isn't.

Be polite to your friends.

According to Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches, 45 year-old Monica Gunter was shot in the right leg by her friend who was attempting to load a shotgun.

There is no excuse for this.

If you cannot load a gun safely, you are too stupid to touch a gun. Full stop. End of story.

Be polite; help someone out in a jam.

Two friends were injured Sunday afternoon at Shoot Straight, a Casselberry gun range, when one tried to unjam a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun and wound up shooting himself in the finger and his friend in the thigh, police reported.

Let There Be Blood 0

Leonard Pitts, Jr., mulls the continuing American bloodbath. A nugget:

. . . where gun laws are concerned, the United States of America is – individual dissenting voices duly noted and exempted from the following descriptive – dumber than a bag of bullets. This, after all, is the country where you can take a gun into a bar. Where you can erect a shooting range in your own backyard. Where a blind person can get a gun permit. You think it’s insane that Arizona allows a 9-year-old to shoot at a firing range? ABC News reports that one in Texas allows them to do so at age 6. . . .

God bless America. We legislate against sharia law in places where there are no Muslims, much less an inclination toward sharia. We pass laws to curtail election fraud despite the fact that election fraud, as a practical matter, does not exist. Yet we endure a yearly toll of gun carnage that makes civilized people in civilized places shake their heads in wonder and our only action is inaction.

The polite want just a little help from their friends.

According to Sheriff Willis Blackwell, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an accidental shooting at a residence on County Road 1024.

Deputies say 25-year-old Bret Anderson and 21-year-old Taylor Keele were handling a 9 mm pistol when Anderson unintentionally fired the weapon. It struck Keele in the chest.

The polite never know that the gun is loaded.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old David Mitchell of Berthoud was sitting in traffic on U.S. Highway 287 in Lafayette on Thursday evening when he decided to inspect it one last time. He didn’t realize there was still one more round in the chamber and shot himself in the leg.

Guns and stupid, a match made in, well, somewhere.

The polite value their privacy.

A tuxedoed Seattle man was arrested early yesterday after he fired a gun at a couple who accidentally interrupted him while he was being pleasured by a woman in an alcove in the city’s nightlife district, cops report.

Politeness is all about how you shoot your load.

When officers and medics arrived at the home in the 45000 block of North Bend Way, they found the body of the shooter’s roommate. Almquist originally said the victim was the brother of the shooter, but later confirmed they were long-time friends and roommates.

Almquist says their investigation is still ongoing, but it appears to be an accident.

“He was showing his firearm to his (roommate) and he was checking to see if it was loaded and it went off,” Almquist said.

It is not polite to lie.

A man who tried to blame a St. Francis shooting on a “short Hispanic man” has been charged with obstructing police and with the shooting.

His false claim led police from several agencies to swarm an area of St. Francis last week looking for the supposedly armed suspect.

The real story was that Lloyd R. Robinson, 24, of St. Francis was playing with his handgun at an E. Tesch Ave. apartment Thursday when he accidentally shot his girlfriend, police say.

Politeness builds family values.

Chambers’ wife reportedly told investigators that she happened to be driving by early Wednesday morning and noticed the light on and went to investigate with her gun drawn. The wife is licensed to carry a concealed firearm.

We’re told Detroit Police investigators are trying to get to the bottom of exactly happened next. What we know for sure is that the officer’s reported mistress was shot in the thigh.

The polite bring new meaning to “defensive driving.”

According to the sheriff’s office, a Ford Ranger was traveling north on Highway 17 when a semi-truck approached the Ranger from behind.

A report states the truck intentionally struck the Ranger on its side while traveling in the same direction.

Investigators say the truck driver then fired a round into the Ranger’s back drivers side bumper. The Ranger pulled over at the Sunoco gas station and the driver called authorities.

There’s an additional shot of politeness at the link.

Politeness promotes creativity.

A MOTHER and daughter concocted a bizarre tale about a mysterious Arab bursting into their home and firing a gun to explain away a shooting accident, a judge heard yesterday.

Elisabeth Koulouris, 55, and daughter Anne-Marie, 23, had been struggling over the loaded rifle when it went off, the County Court heard yesterday.

The bullet went flying into a neighbour’s bedroom, just missing the two terrified occupants.

Spray that politeness around.

Around 2 p.m. Sunday a homeowner was walking in his backyard when he was hit by a bullet fired from a half-mile away. The victim’s family said it was a very scary situation.

(snip)

The homeowner was struck by a bullet in his behind. Sedgwick County Officers said it came from across a farm field behind his backyard. Five men ages 18-20 were shooting several rounds from the other side of the field. They were aiming at a dead stump with no back stop.

More gun nuts too stupid to have guns.
