Practice random acts of politeness.

Police are trying to piece together what led to the shootings. What they do know is that about 10:50 p.m., 29-year-old James Andrew Brown was in his Jeep and began to fire at random.

When the politeness was over and done with, three persons were randomly dead.

A clean lifestyle is a polite lifestyle.

A person was hospitalized Thursday evening after a gun was accidentally fired inside a home in rural Vacaville while the owner was cleaning it, officials confirmed.

The unidentified victim suffered a gunshot wound to leg from a bullet that went through one of the walls of the home in the 5200 block of Winding Way, near Midway and Meridian Roads, around 7:15 p.m., said Solano County Sheriff’s Deputy Daryl Snedeker.

This sort of event is not an accident. It’s garden variety stupid. This is yet another person too stupid to touch a firearm.

Standing at the Confluence of Marketing, Propaganda, and Stupid 4

Dick Polman comments on this weekend’s mass shooting in Santa Barbara, California (emphasis added):

The NRA’s essential premise – which so nicely serves its clients, the gun manufacturers – is that the Second Amendment protects the “right” of all Americans to buy self-protection. Our laws, during the past four decades, have been twisted and bent to that purpose. But the kid in Santa Barbara didn’t buy his semi-automatics and his 400 rounds of ammo (three stores, piece of cake) for the purpose of self-protection. Quite the opposite. He did it for the purpose of aggression.

He said it himself, in his social media “manifesto.” He couldn’t score with girls, he thought it was “unfair,” so therefore he would get “retribution” by blasting the girls. Misogyny, entitlement, and the American gun culture – perfect synchronicity.

Read it.

Warning shots, the polite way.

Neighbors told Action News loud arguing was coming from the house, before gunshots were heard. Neighbors also said the women left the house bleeding before being rushed to a Modesto hospital.

Deputies arrested Miller. His daughter told Action News her father called her from jail and said he did not intend to hurt anyone.

“‘I said, ‘You shot Tammy?’ He said, ‘Yes, I didn’t mean to. I meant to shoot up in the air.’ And he says, ‘I don’t know what happened,'” said Mary Bhogal.

Politeness demands R*E*S*P*E*C*T.

Doris Douglas told Volusia County detectives her husband called Sunday night and said she better return home and get their 36-year-old son “before I kill him.”

Moments later, she heard a “pop, pop, pop” on the telephone line, according to Sheriff’s Office reports released Monday.

(snip)

When deputies arrived at the Stewart Road home Sunday evening, John Douglas — Doris Douglas’ husband and Patterson’s stepfather — was on the front porch smoking a cigarette.

John Douglas told detectives Patterson came home drunk and “began to disrespect him,” reports said.

I trust he will get a lot of R*E*S*P*E*C*T in J*A*I*L.

Be polite to family and friends.

Family togetherness.

According to Madison County coroner Julie Phillips, the tragedy occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. The Oglethorpe County High School student had loaded a rifle and handed it to his father, Terry, who put the gun, which had a strap, over his shoulder. As the two attempted to put a boat in the river, the gun discharged and struck the child in the chest. Newsome died at the scene.

According to the story, the father is “distraught.” The coroner is wrong, though; this was not a “tragedy.” This was negligence.

After all, what can possibly go wrong when the polite pack heat politely?

Police said a man accidentally shot himself in the leg while at a Wal-Mart store in Phoenix on Saturday.

Phoenix police spokesman Officer James Holmes said the man had a gun on his hip and it went off.

Another gun that chose to go off on its own. Are we approaching the singularity of stupid shooting?
